As is, it wouldn’t fit properly on my Aero Precision E4 enhanced upper. It seems the front most slot on the upper is about 1/8″ too far back. The unit fit on and would cycle, but the rear of the handle would not go forward enough for the catch to lock into its channel…so on last round hold open it would slide in and out…mostly just annoying. After studying exactly what to do, I just shortened the rod that the handle intelf attached to be avout 3/16″. Works perfect and locks now. I JUST ordered a second. Very small fix.
I replaced an NFA side charging 9mm upper with the AP enhanced upper and the hard charger…reason being that with the heavy bolt and buffer of the 9mm, that handle would never lock into its tiny detent when the bolt would lock back in an empty mag. This combo beats the other one hands down.

Easy install, very secure to my weapons, looks amazing and works great. All my AR platforms will have this addition. Definitely get one if you haven’t already.
