Description
The most popular contour in Criterion’s stock model selection, Criterion Hybrid contour AR-15 barrels offer an ideal mid-weight balance for those seeking extreme accuracy without the added weight of a heavier profile. An indent is machined opposite the gas port to enable easy alignment and installation. All models have an M4 barrel extension and are threaded for 1/2×28 muzzle devices. Chambers are finished, but barrels should be headspaced and installed by a qualified gunsmith.
These barrels are currently in service with the US Army Marksmanship Unit Action Shooting Team (1518S-HY12) and the US Marine Corps Combat Shooting Team (1516S-HY8-N).
