Why would you want the American Resistance AR9 BCG?  We’ve done the work so that you don’t have to.  When it comes to PCC (pistol caliber carbine) builds, they’re very easy to assemble and build compared to gas impingement systems like 556/223.  With no gas block or gas tube, it really doesn’t get any more simplistic for the upper.  With that being said, there is one big issue when building a PCC: nothing is standardized like on the 556 platform.  One BCG will work with one lower receiver, and not another.  Some buffers/springs work with one set up, but not another.  We understand that this can frustrating when everyone is telling you that PCC builds are more simple, and they are, but there’s still a bit of a curve to be learned when you’re doing your assembly.  There’s more than just 9mm for PCC weapons, such as 45ACP, 10mm, and 40S&W.  For this information, we’re only focusing on 9mm specifically.  The buffer and spring you’ll be able to use is the standard 9mm buffer (5.4 or 5.5oz), with an AR15 carbine length buffer spring.  This buffer/spring set up can be used on most PCC builds.  Where you’ll need to change your buffer/spring, is if you’re using a buffer tube that is proprietary in length such as Maxim Defense’s PDW kit.  These kits usually come with their own spring/buffer.  Do not try to use the AR15 carbine spring and 5.4oz buffer.  The bolt will not come back far enough for a full cycle, which will cause your weapon to have short-stroke cycling issues.  Companies like Maxim also offer a PDW kit that utilizes a JP Enterprises Silent Capture spring.  The Silent Capture springs typically can not be used on PCC builds due to the carrier being solid instead of hollowed out on the backend.  The ARG 9mm BCG has a removable weight at the rear of the carrier to allow for Silent Capture springs to be used.  You might think: “If I remove that weight, will it effect the function and life span of the BCG”?  Normally the answer to this question would be yes!  However, we’ve machined the outside diameter to be a bit larger to increase the weight of the BCG so that when the rear weight has been removed, it’s still retains enough weight to ensure longevity and reliability.  Also in reference the the removable rear weight, you have the option to install a Law Tactical Folding Stock Adapter.  This is due to the LT requiring you install the supplied BCG extension plug.  The removable weight weighs 2.4oz, and the LT BCG extension plus weighs 2.2oz.  Very marginal difference.  The most definitive feature of the ARG 9mm BCG is the custom cut on the belly side where the hammer falls into when firing.  We’ve done the work for you on this one too!  The belly side cut has been cut to the same dimensions as an 556 M16 BCG.  This is important because we want our 9mm’s to be able to run the Fostech Echo 2 trigger.  The Echo 2 requires an M16 cut for the trigger lock on the Echo 2 to operate.  The trigger lock has 2 main functions:  Prevents the trigger from being pulled without the BCG in battery, and in line with that, the trigger lock will prevent “hammer follow”.
